Processing of personal data and their protection
The personal data you provide is processed by Abacus Electric s.r.o., Planá 2, České Budějovice, Company register: Regional Court in České Budějovice, Section C, Insert 1228.
The processing of personal data is an essential part of our activity. Without providing personal data and subsequent data processing, we would not be able to provide you with our services, enter into a contractual relationship with you and fulfil the obligations arising from it. In the case that your consent is required for personal data processing, we will not force you to consent, or make the consent conditional upon entering into a contractual relationship, providing a service of sale of goods or the obligations imposed by us.
We handle your personal data within the limits of generally binding legal regulations, and we ensure that no unauthorized use or misuse is made. Personal data protection, privacy protection and rights of each individual are part of the fundamental values that Abacus Electric employees adhere to.
Our employees are fully aware of the value and sensitivity of your personal data they come into contact with and work with. They are fully aware of the damage that a disclosure, destruction, or alteration of such information may cause to the data owner - you.
Abacus Electric and each employee of Abacus Electric are always personally committed to protecting the confidentiality, accessibility, and integrity of personal data they come into contact with and work with, as it is regarded as a matter of their personal professional honour irrespective of whether it is legally binding or not. Personal data that our employees come into contact and work with will never be disclosed, will never be passed on to anyone, they will never be changed, destroyed or alternated in any way outside the scope of the work. In order to avoid unintentional disclosure, destruction or alteration of personal data, our staff regularly educate and undertake training in the given area.
Every employee makes every effort to prevent the disclosure, destruction or alteration of personal data he/she comes in contact and work with. This means our employees adhere to information security measures, protect personal data in paper form, notice their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious behaviour of computer technology, colleagues or third parties.

Processed Personal Data
Provided personal data for processing are used to conclude and fulfil the agreement. These are:
- Name and surname
- Address
- Phone Number
- E-mail address
- Bank connection, bank account
- Purchase history overview
- In the case of the recruitment process - personal data and photos included in the content of CV you provided.
Third Party Personal Data
If you provide us with third-party personal data, it is your responsibility to inform the person concerned and ensure that he/she agrees to these terms and conditions.
On what legal basis we process personal information
The above-mentioned data is processed on the basis of the following legal grounds:
- Fulfilment or conclusion of the contract
- Purchase and sale of goods and services, billing, communication
- Compliance with Legal Obligations
- Obligation under Czech law or EU law - Accounting Act, Labour Code, Social Security and Employment, Insurance Act, Money Laundering Act (AML), etc.
- Legitimate interest
- Property protection (camera system), handing over within our company/organization for administrative purposes, direct marketing.
- Your Qualified Consent (if granted)
- Sending business messages electronically.
To whom we provide your personal data
We only share your personal data with Abacus Electric. Your personal data may be further passed on and made available to third parties to the necessary extent. This involves following recipients:
- Our suppliers providing logistics (goods and services delivery) – fulfilment of the contract.
- Audit companies – fulfilment of legal obligations.
- IT companies & ndash; legitimate interest. The interest includes outsourcing of IT services and eventual access to personal data within IT management.
- Government authorities - Tax Offices, Health Insurance companies, Social Insurance companies, Courts, Court Executors etc. - on the basis of legal obligations.
Each entity/third party to which we pass on your personal data for the above purpose (unless it is a legal obligation) is bound by a contract which, inter alia, provides:

- Obligation to cooperate in checking compliance with GDPR provisions
Length of time personal data can be stored
We keep your personal data in accordance of the purpose for which we process it. We keep your personal data at least for the duration of the contract fulfilment. In most cases, we are forced to keep your personal data in compliance with the law, usually for a period of 10 years.
Personal data of job applicants will be liquidated immediately after a work position is filled by entering into an employment contract with another applicant unless the applicant agrees to process his/her personal data for the submission for future job offers from Abacus Electric.
Camera records are stored for five days.
Cookies processing, IP address tracking, and other technology tracking tools
When you visit our Web site, we automatically record data such as the IP address assigned to your device, the date and time of the Web site visit, the type of the browser and operating system of your device, the pages you visit, and technical and functional cookies. We use such information to find out how users surf our Web site and for general analysis purposes. This information is not used to identify your persona and it is not associated with the above-mentioned personal data.
Your rights
According to GDPR, your rights are:
- The right of the personal data subject to be forgotten, to be deleted (Article 17 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to be informed about which particular data the administrator has (Article 15 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to object to the processing of his/her personal data (Article 21 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to limit the processing (Article 18 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to transfer his/her personal data from an administrator to a third entity (Article 20 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to request a human review in the case of previous occurrence of automated decision-making (Article 22 GDPR)
- The right of the personal data subject to update his/her personal data to avoid any possible sufferance arising from outdated data (Article 16 GDPR)
Erase (be forgotten) – Your personal data will be erased except for the data necessary to fulfil legal obligations, data necessary for the defence of legal claims or data necessary for the protection of public interests.
Access (learn about the data we have about your persona) – we will provide you with a copy of all personal information we have about you except our intellectual property or business secrets, as well as cases where personal data of other persons may be transmitted.
Objection to the personal data processing – you can raise an objection at any time, which will be dealt with in a way that will not harm your interests. An objection may be invoked in cases where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of a relevant manager or third party, or against the processing of personal data for direct marketing or profiling purposes. If you object to the processing for direct marketing purposes, your personal data will no longer be processed for this purpose.
Limitation of personal data processing – based on your objection, the processing of your personal data (with the exception of the storage or backup of the personal data in question) will be limited. The processing of personal data gets limited till the objection is resolved.
Transferring personal information – if you provided us with your personal data under a contract or consent, your personal data will be exported in a structured, commonly used electronic format so that you can transfer it to a third party.
Update of your personal data so the outdated version does not harm you – we will ensure that your personal data is updated based on your request.
In accordance with Article 21 (4) of the GDPR, Abacus Electric specifically informs you that you have the right to object to automated individual decision making under Article 21 of the GDPR and that you have the right at any time to object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes (see above) according to & sect; Article 21 (2) of the GDPR. At the same time, Abacus Electric informs you that if you suspect that your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic.
